With airy, well-lit studios, we offer the student a wide range of art courses. Design, drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and graphic design are all available. Upper level students enjoy specialized and independent study classes.

Our track-lit art gallery has over a hundred and eighty feet of running space. We run a full schedule of exhibits that includes a student art show in the spring. Our students exhibit locally and regionally and have gone into successful careers in a range of areas.

In Art History, we offer survey as well as specialty classes (that include American, Greek, and Twentieth Century Art and Western and oriental architecture).

Learn more about the Music Program

Emphasizing small classes and individual attention, study in music is fostered in an atmosphere that encourages personal and musical growth and nurtures individual accountability and leadership. Students are challenged to think critically and creatively, to communicate effectively, and to acquire a breadth and depth of knowledge in their chosen field. As a part of the liberal arts curriculum, all students at USC Aiken may find a variety of opportunities within the music program by participating in music classes, musical ensembles, and applied lessons. Students opting to pursue music as a part of their coursework may choose from the Bachelor of Arts – Major in Fine Arts program of study (with a concentration in music), the Bachelor of Arts – Major in Music Education program of study, or a minor in music.
