Applied Music Studies & Fees
There may be a fee associated with music studies – below is a list of fees:
Applied Music Fee
This fee is assessed for any student enrolling in an applied lesson, regardless of major. Applied music fees are $250 for two credit hours and $125 for one credit hour. These fees are assessed each semester of enrollment.
Students choosing to use a university owned instrument will be charged a small fee to assist with the maintenance of the instrument. Instrumental rental fees may vary; for more information, please see Dr. Hayes Bunch, Director of Bands, or contact him at HayesB@usca.edu.
Student lockers are available to music students in the Etherredge Center. Rental for a locker is $25 per academic year.
All tests administered by ETS required for the Bachelor of Arts – Major in Music Education have associated fees. Costs for each test are available at www.ets.org/praxis or you may learn more about the PRAXIS Exams required for Music Education on the USCA School of Education website – www.usca.edu/education/current-students/praxis-testing.dot.
