American Portraits is a brand-new production combining the energy and precision of the Dallas Brass with “America’s Beloved Tenor” Daniel Rodriguez. The show also includes a choreographed multi-image projection. Since its founding in 1983 by Michael Levine, the Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles.

The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges. Daniel Rodriguez, the Brooklyn born, now-retired police officer, helped bring the country an uplifting spirit of promise and hope with his stirring rendition of “God Bless America” after the 2001 World
Trade Center terrorist attacks.
